Substitute Pay

Substitute teachers holding Substitute Teacher Certificates shall be compensated at the rate of $111 per day.  Substitute teachers holding Standard Teacher Certificates shall be compensated at the rate of $117 per day. 4-Day Workweek M-TH

A substitute who is hired to replace a teacher in one assignment for an extended period of time will be paid:

·     Day 1 through day 10: The regular daily substitute rate as established by the Governing Board.

· .Day 11 through day 20: 1.25 x the regular daily substitute pay. 

·     Day 21 +: 1/183 of Step 1 BA column of the teachers' salary schedule.

Increase substitute teacher pay by $10 per day on the 51st full day of subbing in the district, (except when getting paid as a long term substitute).

Substitute teachers who teach a minimum of at least 30 consecutive days without the assistance of the regular classroom teacher will be paid the daily rate of 1/188 of BA Column Step 1.
