Certified Application and Hiring Process:
Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, all of Safford Schools will be on a 4-day school week. Most positions will only work Monday - Thursday. 


Applications for certified positions are kept on file for one year. We also require a current resume and an unofficial copy of transcripts which may be uploaded.  As part of your online application, we encourage you to provided uploads and links to any portfolios, videos, or other pertinent information that may help in selection of candidates for interviews.
Final candidates for teaching positions may be asked to submit either a 15 minute recording of a teaching demonstration or present a 15 minute teaching demonstration as part of the on-site interview. Should you become a finalist for a teaching position, you will be contacted by a member of the committee to make final arrangements for the teaching presentation.

Our salary schedule 
reflects only the base amount. It does not reflect additional Proposition 301 or 101 funding through the State of Arizona. These monies will be given in addition to the salaries on the certified salary schedule. We do not know the exact amount of Proposition 301 funding at this time. State 101 monies at this time are $665. Certified Salary Schedules are available from the Superintendent's office. 

Classified Hiring Process
Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, all of Safford Schools will be on a 4-day school week. Most positions will only work Monday - Thursday.


Applications are kept on file for six months. Building principals select a screening committee to review applications. Arrangements are then made for interviews at the individual schools and are conducted by the committee. The committee makes the recommendation for hire to the Superintendent, AJ Taylor. This recommendation is then submitted to the Governing Board for approval.  Successful candidates for classified positions must be fingerprinted and are responsible for the cost of the background check.
