Job Position Details:
JOB TITLE: PARAPRO (SHS Film & TV Production)
REPORTS TO: Principal/Assigned Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Works in the Film and TV Production classroom with students under direct supervision of the Film and TV Production Instructor.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in tutoring small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
Provides positive reinforcement for students.
Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
Escorts students to the office upon request.
Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Specifically as it pertains to the Film and TV Production program:
Works directly with and expands instruction for students in the following environments:
Sports and other live streaming and video production
Works directly with the Center for the Arts staff and Stagecraft students on live and recorded video and audio productions
Assists with the classroom and lab instruction of the following:
Production using video and audio equipment, specifically:
Instruction and operation of:
Mid/Pro Level Camcorder
DSLR
Various lenses
Multi-track audio recorders/recording
Import and manipulation/production in various DAWs
Post-Production within non-linear editing environments, specifically: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite products, Davinci Resolve products, other non-linear editing software environments
Assists with logistics and presentations during various film competitions and festivals sponsored by the program

Job Requirements:
According to federal requirements, ALL K-12 paraprofessionals working with students in any capacity must meet the following requirements:
High school diploma OR GED AND
An Associate’s degree or higher OR
60 or more credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education OR
Obtain a passing score on one of the ADE approved online assessments below:
