Job Position Details:
JOB TITLE: Title I Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal/Title I Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To help provide the kind of instruction and environment that will enable each student in the program to master the language arts and/or math skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include those of the teacher responsibilities and the following:
Identifies students needing diagnosis and/or remediation following the Title I guidelines.
Administers diagnostic tests and uses the information obtained to plan a program of remediation.
Evaluates student progress in remediation.
Interprets student needs and progress in remediation to the student and the parents.
Maintains accurate records of all screening test results.
Follows guidelines of the Title I Program as communicated by the program director.
Implements the recommendations of the monitoring reports and other program evaluations to improve the program.
Evaluates, selects, and recommends use of new teaching materials.
Helps in planning teacher in-service related to Title I as needed.
Completes other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.

Job Requirements:
Must have an Arizona Teacher Certificate with a Reading Endorsement

Early Childhood Education Preferred.
