Job Position Details:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Instructs small groups of students under direction of teacher.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in tutoring individual students or small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
Monitors for appropriate behaviors and provides positive reinforcement for students.
Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
Escorts students throughout the school day as needed.
Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
Bus Aides: To be able to assist students on/off bus and to pass the School Bus AIDE Physical Performance Test.
Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
Assists with daily living skills (e.g. student hygiene, toileting, feeding, wheelchair transfer).
Administers achievement tests, including standardized tests as assigned, with appropriate training.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:
According to federal requirements, ALL K-12 paraprofessionals working with students in any capacity must meet the following requirements:
High school diploma OR GED AND
An Associate’s degree or higher OR
60 or more credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education OR
Obtain a passing score on one of the ADE approved online assessments below:
