Job Position Details:
JOB TITLE: Maintenance I
REPORTS TO: Maintenance/Building Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To maintain the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety, so that full educational use of them may be made at all times.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Helps expedite the proper completion of all work orders.
Performs all repairs in a neat and workmanlike manner.
Is conscious of all phases of the job; takes care of problems and repairs as they are seen.
Makes notes of needed repairs; notifies supervisor so they may be planned for in the future.
Strives continually to improve knowledge in areas that would be helpful to the school.
Is on the alert for safety problems and hazards; helps to correct them; reports them to supervisor.
Is aware of the safety of others and self.
Fills out a daily log and report book.
Is congenial in dealings with the public, students, and fellow employees; is able to work cooperatively with them.
Carries out oral and written instructions.
Has in possession a current C.D.L. and bus card.
Drives school bus as needed.
Performs any other assignments that may be made by supervisor.
